I liked Salmaan's so much that I decided to make one for myself. I introduce, Turn a Square II:
This hat went much faster the second time around. I used Jo Sharp Silkroad DK Tweed, which I really prefer to the Aran Tweed. Not really sure why, although I think it's due in large part to the fact that it just looks cleaner to me. Less bumpy.
It's also a little easier on the hands. I liked it so much that I went straight to the Yarn Lounge on Thursday after work, and ordered 10 skeins of it in Emerald (a gorgeous, gorgeous color). I'm planning on a sweater...not sure which one yet. Perhaps a Cobblestone? Any suggestions? (btw, check out the Yarn Lounge's blog--they took a picture of this hat to include in one of their customer FO posts!!! I feel like a celebrity!).
The two colorways are Celestine and Granary, and I'm pretty surprised at how much of each skein I have left--a lot. I'm planning on making some matching striped wristwarmers--using this pattern, perhaps? Maybe I'll cast those on this weekend...
Knit the ribbing of this hat on #5 "16 circulars, and the body on #6 "16 circulars (Clovers). A friend of mine has recommened Addi Turbos to me of late (because I'm such a tight knitter) and my curiosity has been peaked--does anyone else love them as much as she does, and why? River always has to get in on our photo shoots. I'd knit her something all her own, but I have a sneaking suspicion it would get torn to shreds pretty much immediately...

The hat is so cute! I just finished my best handspun yet (I'm slowly learning), and it's a pretty, bright, heathered mix of purples, yellows, and greens. I think it would work well as one of the stripes, maybe with a more muted colors as the other. Love the hat! I'm itching to knit up something quick for fall, and this would work well.
Also, I really love addi turbos. They're really smooth and, while I love the versatility of my Denise dpns, the join is so nice and smooth that nothing ever catches like on the Denise needles. I particularly love them for smaller gauge knits, as the cord is nice and small and doesn't really kink. Those are my two cents!
