River has achieved a lot of significant milestones lately. She's come into her own--no longer a puppy, but not quite an adult yet, either. One of the most exciting developments is that she has the run of the house now during the day while we're at work. No more crate, no more day room for her! She hasn't damaged anything, or made any mistakes. It's awesome.
River and Mea also seem to have struck some sort of alliance in the last few months. Sometimes they cuddle, sometimes they wrestle, and other times they ignore one another completely. It's quite entertaining to watch. A few nights ago apparently something interesting was happening under the fridge, and they were both determined to team up and capture the offender.
The funny thing is, I think River was the sidekick in this venture. Or maybe Salmaan was--he was the one that ended up buying the mouse traps...;-)
The most exciting development is that River has learned to dance--and seems to enjoy it a lot. She digs Coldplay the most. Salmaan can cut the rug quite nicely, as well!

That video is precious. Just last night I was sighing over our area rescue league's website at all of the wonderful dogs that need homes. We're not at the right place yet for a dog but, when we get one, I hope she likes to dance too.
